The Pleasure Machine explores an era where technology seamlessly intertwines with our lives, potentially dominating our reality. Through immersive technologies like Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and more, the artwork transports viewers to a utopian realm. Yet, this departure from the physical world contrasts with pressing concerns: global warming, overconsumption, and materialism, casting a shadow over humanity's path and the decline of our world.
Brandon Soo (b.1998, Singapore) is an artist. He is interested in the realms of spirituality, metaphysics, and philosophy, his creative endeavors serve as a conduit for these explorations. Through his sculptures and installations, he ventures into the depths of human consciousness, seeking to unravel the enigmatic concept of transcendence.
