Nature’s Survival presents a series of illustrations that highlights the effect of urbanisation on the local ecosystem. Observing the issues in protecting Singapore’s precious wildlife, the work questions the possible future of the wildlife populations and hopes to spark conversations on what humanity can do to help them.
Amanda Lim (b. 2000, Singapore) is an aspiring artist working with the notion of emotions and nostalgia, drawing from personal experiences that are expressed in the form of painting. She focuses on realism and expressionist techniques to manipulate various subject matter into dream-like works, but is not afraid to step out of her comfort zone to learn new things. Amanda looks closely at memories and metaphors to generate art that is thought-provoking and visually pleasing.
