In Between explores the threshold state between the feeling of uncertainty and false reality. Each image bears this familiar yet eerie sense which sets this isolated setting for viewers to create this imaginary space that keeps them stuck in a trance; allowing them to experience the perpetual state of transition.
Shannon Sim (b.2002, Singapore) is an aspiring artist currently pursuing her degree at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. Her body of work represents a wide spectrum of psychological distresses. She is currently working on the structural aspect of the sculpture about mental illness. She studies how the environment could contribute to the high statistics of people with mental illness.She worked primarily in painting and illustrating but she is currently venturing into sculpting.
